School Name: Francisco Javier Salazar
It is a traditional, two-room rural school with 12 students, ages 6-11. The one teacher teaches each course to each age group. The other room is for indoor recreation on in-climate days and to serve meals.
On our April 2011 trip, ACF provided t-shirts, pocket folders and rulers to the student and a t-shirt for the teacher. It recommended ACF consider this little school as a beneficiary of a computer system for its 2013 program budget, which was provided during the most recent trip to the excitement of both the teacher and his students. Within just minutes of receiving the new system, the teacher was able to compose a vocabulary lesson using the new computer and video projector. During our 2014 Trip, Linderos received a laptop computer to complement its technology resources provide by ACF during earlier mission trips.
